With the COVID-19 pandemic ever so present these days, the National Association of Truck Stop Owners is trying help. This is evident by how they get the CDC to utilize their facilities. In which case, the Truck Stop Owners would willingly have their businesses open. Where enough employees are let to COVID-19 vaccinations to be taken there.

Firstly, for short, they’re actually NATSO. And they’re not so selfish as one would think for things to get back to reality. Actually, truck stop owners want to be able to help out anyway they can. This is in conjunction with the Truckload Carriers Association, the National Association of Small Trucking Companies, the American Trucking Associations, the St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund National Private Truck Council and the Tank Truck Carriers of America.

How did these truck stop owner organizations unionize?

Furthermore, via a letter, simply enough. They had it signed and delivered to the CDC Director Rochelle Walensky. In which case, the organization was encouraging them to leverage the available properties if only to help employees of the logistics industry.

The letter’s points were quite poignant. Being that they make mention of “the very nature of the trucking, truck stop and travel plaza industries” is pretty significant. Continuing on, such a provision “allows an opportunity to have an immediate and meaningful impact on the distribution of vaccines to essential truck stop employees and truck drivers.”

There is a level of importance here. Isn’t that visible? I think it’s pretty visible. We all are able to see that. As the letter highlights the significance of allowing drivers to get a vaccine in a state where they might not even be a resident. Therefore, allowing for vaccination while OTR and away from home. Also, the letter is pretty much asking drivers to receive their second vaccination at a different location from where the first one way. Just because of how many complexities truck drivers already have to go through to get to a specific place at a specific time, without the fear of robbing loads of money already there.
